Sponsored Social Responsibility Projects

We have, for 20 twenty years of operations in logistics business, always acted in the awareness of our responsibilities and commitments toward our country, the support of which we have enjoyed so far.

We try to take advantage of every opportunity to contribute to our nation’s future, particularly to educational activities, which, we believe, are of essential importance for a better tomorrow.
We are aware that every single child we sponsor will give back to the people of his/her community once s/he starts working for this nation. Witnessing their achievement, even the smallest support we provide for their improvement will be the greatest pride of ours.

“sertrans’ Girls Carrying the Future”

We enjoy the peace of mind to have been sponsoring 300 female students via educational scholarship within the framework of the educational sponsoring project we have been carrying out with CYDD (The Foundation Sponsoring Modern Way of Life), since 2003.

Our goal is to to support the female students through their primary and secondary education up to the university as they become competent professionals.
92 of our 300 sponsored students graduated from high school in the academic year 2006 – 2007, and 13 students thereof passed the exam for university.

In the academic year 2007 – 2008, we continue to sponsor our winning students during their higher education while we assume the sponsorship of new and fresh students to dispense the space vacated within the previous year.

" Change one thing to start changing it all "

We were there to support the cheers and the hopes of the students at the beginning of the academic years 2006 – 2007 and 2007 – 2008, under the captaincy of TOCEV and NTV RADIO. We took along the “education sets” to the children, who continue their education under difficult conditions at boarding regional schools.

“ Sponsorship for the Camp for the Handicapped in Artvin ”

We were there with 30 vounteers and 80 handicapped youngsters at the camp of Ministry of Youth and Sports in plateu Kafkasor, Artvin.
During the camp organized by AYDER (The Foundation for Alternative Living), the handicapped youngsters enjoyed musical therapy, dance, first aid, English and handcraft lessons as well as various sports activities. The camp’s curriculum also included various trips to the surrounding environment and group plays.

Turkiye Korunmaya Muhtac Cocuklar Vakfi (The Turkish Foundation for Children in Need of Protection) was established in 1979 to reserve and shelter the orphan children in need for protection within an environment of family warmness, to provide them with proper education, to ensure them to be raised well psychologically and bodily, and to make efforts to equip them with constructive characters.

Turkiye Korunmaya Muhtac Cocuklar Vakfi (The Turkish Foundation for Children in Need of Protection) believes and advocates that every child naturally owns the right to be raised with compassion, love and understanding, to receive adequate nourishment and to live in a healthy, hygienic environment, to take advantage of playing and entertainment opportunities, to go through an adequate and modern education and to improve her/his skills, and, to state briefly, to live in a humane honor and dignity.

Our foundation, as a consequence of the researches it has conducted in order to accomplish its purpose of establishment within the mentioned perspective, decided to identically apply the “Child Village” model adopted from SOS Kinderdorf International (International SOS Child Villages Association), and opened the Child Village, the foundation of which was laid in 1988, up for service in the year 1992.

"Bolluca Cocukkoyu" (Bolluca Child Village) is a fairly comprehensive Social Responsibility project, which was enlivened in view of providing a higher number of children in need of protection with a better quality and extensive service and to ensure those children to become decent elements of the community, and stands as a model for quests of solutions to the outstanding problems about the orphan children in the country.

We, the staff members of Sertrans Holding, enjoy the visit we paid to Bolluca Cocukkoyu (Bolluca Child Village), where 110 children currently accommodate, and the contribution, even though it is a slight one, we provided to the funds they benefit.
